Book Contract

We are so fortunate at Jack to have so many books available to our students throughout the year.  It is important to us that we continue to be able to provide these for our students.  Therefore, we ask that you take extra care when borrowing our books from the library, classroom, or literacy library.  It is important that our students are reading each and every day so we will be sending home books of some kind on a regular basis.  We NEED YOUR HELP by taking good care of these books, returning them on time, and letting the teacher or librarian know immediately when one has been damaged on accident so we can try to repair it.  Please keep water bottles, etc. away from them in backpacks.  This will help minimize water damage.  It is our goal to be able to continue to provide as many books as possible to our students over the years. We prefer to spend our funds devoted to our reading program on new books to read each year instead of replacing old ones. Fines will be charged for missing or lost books so let’s work together to take care of all of them!  Your signature on the parent/school agreement indicates your support and understanding.  We thank you in advance for your cooperation and help!
