AFRICAN TRAVEL BROCHURE

 

The following are required to be on your brochure:

 

_____ 1.  Map of country, including neighboring countries.

_____ 2.  Date of independence, with name of colonial power.

_____ 3.  Exports (products produced to trade) and imports.

_____ 4.  Three (3) things a visitor to this country MUST see.

_____ 5.  Type of government.

 

In addition, select a minimum of five (5) additional facts to include in your brochure.

 

_____ 1.  religion

_____ 2.  historical information

_____ 3.  currency

_____ 4.  language

_____ 5.  education

_____ 6.  industries

_____ 7.  information about traditional societies

_____ 8.  flag, explaining meaning of colors and designs

_____ 9.  food you might expect to eat that is native to that country

_____ 10. a typical product you might bring home as a souvenir

 

The information must be either typed or written neatly in complete sentences and clearly presented.  

EACH BROCHURE MUST HAVE PICTURES OF DRAWINGS  that will present your country in a special way. 

The front of your brochure MUST SHOW the name of your country BOLDLY.    Please be creative, colorful, neat, and demonstrate knowledge of that country.

 

Your grade will be determined by the following:

 

bullet Neatness
bullet Appearance
bullet Accuracy
bullet Following directions

 

Make sure your name is on the back side of the brochure.

 

Hints: 

*If you cut out pictures or text from your word processor, try framing your work. 

*Colorful is wonderful

*Be creative…try new things…lay out your work before you glue it in place.
