Assistant to Mrs. Post: Ila England
"Diamonds in the Rough Writers" was a grant designed to encourage and nurture students in the publication of their very own written and illustrated book. Student background was developed through library research, a field trip to Camp Tyler, invited guests including two adorable dogs with interviews from owners, and countless hours spent with Mrs. Post with writing and reading assistance and lots of encouragement. Students also became artists as they worked to sculpt their dogs and cat from modeling clay. They then created backgrounds with their little sculptures for book illustrations. Mrs. Post also worked with students on layout and publication of book. Click on the small picture to see an enlarged image below.
