The President’s Message

Dear PTA Friends,

To inspire parents and teachers to work together in the best interests of children is the business for which the PTA was founded.  The PTA is the means by which the natural relationship between parent and teacher is developed. This is our purpose.

Fortunate is the child whose teachers are inspired.  And fortunate, too, is the child whose parents are devoted, interested, imaginative and creative.  We must never lose sight of the idea that education is in large measure an important matter. With that thought in mind, it is our promise to provide every scope of PTA knowledge to the people who hold our students and campuses in their heart.

Teachers and parents must make an equally large investment in education. Every ounce of our devotion, interest, patience, imagination, and creativity is not too much to invest in the children; every one of us has stores of it yet unused, even unrealized.  This is where the sense of endless possibilities emerge within our creative souls.

One of the overall PTA themes for parents and teachers is the Purpose, the Promise and the Possibilities.

To each and every PTA member, my sincere good wishes for a productive year for each campus.

Judy Barlow, President

Tyler ISD PTA Council
