The TexCare Family
TexCare is a family of state programs that includes Children’s Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). TexCare is specifically designed to help you secure health care coverage for your children and provide a stable, consistent place of care with a doctor who will know your children and their medical history.
One Application
TexCare makes applying for children’s health care coverage easy—one application for both Children’s Medicaid and CHIP. Simply fill out the TexCare application and your children will be enrolled in the program for which they qualify.
If your child is not eligible for Children’s Medicaid or CHIP, TexCare will tell you how to find out about other health insurance options for your children.
