The winter season is here, and we want to share with you the weather-related closing of schools procedure for Tyler ISD.

In the event school must be cancelled due to inclement weather, the decision to close school will be made by 6:00 a.m.  Once the decision has been made to close schools, the media will be notified.  Tune to the local news or radio stations, or check the TISD website www.tylerisd.org for the most current information. Information will also be posted on TISD-TV Channel 19. 

If the normal schedule is followed but there is inclement weather, staff, students and parents are urged to use caution when traveling to school.  Be safe and take your time.
