Dear Parent or Guardian:

Your child’s grades and assignment information can now be securely viewed from your Internet Browser at home.  We are providing this access for secondary grades through our Pinnacle Internet Viewer (PIV) feature. This secured access requires an Internet connection and a confidential user name and password issued to the parent by the school.  You may obtain your login ID and password by contacting the campus office.  This information will also be printed on the progress report and report card under the Student Number heading.  The first number is the login ID followed by the password. Please contact the campus if you cannot locate the ID and password information. 

Directions:

1. Start at the home page of your Internet browser.
2. Navigate to our web site at  https://grades.tylerisd.org
3. Select the Parent Gradebook Viewer link.
4. At the login page, enter the student ID, Password (Pin number) and select the correct campus from the drop down list.

Considerations:

• The login ID and password confidentiality is crucial – Do Not give it to other people.
• Please allow teachers turn around time to enter grades.  See Grading Guidelines on the reverse side of this letter.
• This is a privilege for parents to monitor their child’s progress.  Any misuse or abuse of this account will result in denial of access.
• Missing assignments may be calculated in a variety of ways.  Please check with your child and/or the teacher for the particular policy in each class.
• If questions arise, please visit with your child, teacher, counselor, or principal.
