Board Update

·        A & E Consultants

A.     EHRC Architects are providing Construction Administration services throughout the project duration for Jack/Douglas.

B.     EHRC Architects have completed the design of  Peete ES.  Plans and            

Specifications have been delivered to Denson Construction to prepare

the GMP.

C.     Fitzpatrick Butler/PBK, Architects (FB/PBK) are providing Construction Administration services throughout the project duration for Austin/Bonner.

D.    It is anticipated that Bell and Ramey will be closed out in November.

·        Construction Projects

A.                 Dr Bryan C Jack Elementary – New Construction

a.       Work Completed

Masonry work is complete.  Metal roofing is complete.

                                    b.  Work in Progress

The first and second floor of the east end of the building is substantially complete.  Denson is working on the punch list for that area.  Finish trades are working in the balance of the building.  Technology installation continues.  Brickwork at the colonnade continues.

c.       3-Week Look Ahead

Work items listed above will continue.

d.      Comments

The project is scheduled to be complete by November 30^th.

Bryan C Jack is on schedule and under budget.

                        B.         Douglas Elementary School-New Construction

a.   Work Completed                                         

All slab on grade work is complete at the building.  The second floor slab has been poured.

Sanitary sewer and storm drainage are complete. 

b.  Work in Progress

Structural steel erection continues on the 1 story wing and the gym/cafetorium.  Drywall framing on the exterior of the 2 story classroom wing is complete and brick work has commenced.  Interior drywall framing is underway in the 2 story classroom wing. HVAC ductwork has commenced as well as the fire sprinkler piping and technology cable tray.  The plumbing and electrical rough-in continues.

c.       3-Week Look Ahead

Work items mentioned above will continue.

d.      Comments

Douglas is ahead of schedule, at this point, and under budget.

C.      Austin Elementary School-New Construction

a.       Work Completed 

Slab on grade at the gym, 2 story classroom wing as well as administration area is complete.  Retaining wall work is complete.

b.      Work in Progress

Structural steel erection has commenced at the cafetorium/kitchen.  Masonry block work has commenced at the gym.  Plumbing and electrical under ground rough-in continues at classroom wing. 

c.       3-Week Look Ahead

The work items listed above will continue.

d.      Comments

Austin is on schedule but will fall behind if the slab on grade work is not complete by October 23^rd.  RPR is taking steps to mitigate this possibility.  The project is under budget.

D.           Bonner Elementary School-New School

a.       Work Completed 

90% slab on grade work is complete.  Retaining wall is complete.

b.      Work in Progress

Structural steel erection has commenced at the 2 story classroom wing.  Masonry block at the gym is approximately 50% complete.  Plumbing and electrical rough-in continues at Areas B and C.  Site utilities are 75% complete. 

c.       3-Week Look Ahead

Work items listed above will continue. 

d.      Comments

Bonner is on schedule and under budget.
