Board Update

A.                            EHRC Architects are providing Construction Administration

                  services throughout the project duration for Douglas/Peete.

 

B.                             Fitzpatrick Butler/PBK, Architects (FB/PBK) are providing Construction Administration services throughout the project duration    for Austin/Bonner.

 

·        Construction Projects

 

            A.        Douglas Elementary School-New Construction

 

a.   Work Completed                                         

                                          General construction is complete on the building.

                                          Punch out is approximately 90% complete.

 

b.  Work in Progress

      Punch out of the building continues.  The exterior work, including

                                          irrigation, landscaping, fencing and related items

                              will continue.

 

c.       3-Week Look Ahead

Punch out should complete by August 24th.

The exterior work will complete sometime in August.  Every effort is being made to complete the contract before the ribbon cutting.

 

d.      Comments

Building will be ready for school

 

 

 

 

C.        Austin Elementary School-New Construction

 

a.   Work Completed 

General construction is complete on the building.  The metal roof on    the dome will complete by Aug 12th.  All paving is complete.

Punch out is approximately 80% complete.

 

b.      Work in Progress

Punch out of the building continues.  The exterior work, including

                                           courtyard, irrigation, landscaping, fencing and related items

                                           will continue.

 

c.       3-Week Look Ahead

Punch out should complete by August 24th.  All sidewalks will complete by August 15th.  The exterior work will complete sometime in August.  Every effort is being made to complete the contract before the ribbon cutting.

 

d.      Comments

Building will be ready for school.

 

D.      Bonner Elementary School-New School

 

a.       Work Completed

       General construction is complete on the building. 

 Punch out is approximately 95% complete.

 

b.   Work in Progress

Punch out of the building continues.  The exterior work, including

                                           paving, courtyard, irrigation, landscaping, fencing and related items

                                           will continue.

 

c.  3-Week Look Ahead

Punch out should complete by Aug 17th.

The exterior work will complete sometime in August.  Every effort is being made to complete the contract before the ribbon cutting.

 

d.  Comments

Building will be ready for school.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

E.                  Peete Elementary School-New School

 

   a.   Work Completed

Structural steel erection is 95% complete. Drywall framing and sheetrock is approx 85% complete.  Brick work is approximately 85% complete.  Roofing is 80% complete. Ductwork is 100% complete.

Rough-in of electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler systems are 90% complete.

 

b.   Work In Progress

      Drywall framing and sheetrock will continue.

      Rough-in of electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system

      will continue.  Technology cable tray and HVAC controls wiring      continues.  Exterior elements such as brickwork, built-up roofing, metal roofing and plaster framing will continue.  Window installation continues.  Painting, ceramic tile and ceiling grid work has commenced.  Cabinets have been delivered and installation is underway.

 

           c.    3-Week Look Ahead

The items listed above will continue.

 

e.       Comments

Although a few of the finish trades are behind, some are working overtime, at their expense, to catch up.  Sitework is behind but should be able to work during the month of September.

Denson will finish November 30th as planned.

 

                         The seven schools, as a whole, are under budget for the 2004 Bond Program.
