Board Update

A.                            EHRC Architects are providing Construction Administration

                  services throughout the project duration for Douglas/Peete.

B.                             Fitzpatrick Butler/PBK, Architects (FB/PBK) are providing Construction Administration services throughout the project duration    for Austin/Bonner.

·        Construction Projects

            A.        Douglas Elementary School-New Construction

a.   Work Completed                                         

                                          General construction is complete on the building.

                                          Punch out is approximately 70% complete.

b.  Work in Progress

      Punch out of the building continues.  The exterior work, including

                                          paving, courtyard, irrigation, landscaping, fencing and related items

                              will continue. 

c.       3-Week Look Ahead

Punch out should complete by August 5^th.

The exterior work will complete sometime in August.  Every effort is being made to complete the contract before the ribbon cutting.

d.      Comments

Douglas building portion of the contract completed approximately one week behind schedule, primarily because of one subcontractor and the weather.  The exterior work is approximately six weeks behind schedule because of the weather.

C.      Austin Elementary School-New Construction

a.   Work Completed 

      General construction is complete on the building.

Punch out is approximately 75% complete.

b.      Work in Progress

Punch out of the building continues.  The exterior work, including

                                           paving, courtyard, irrigation, landscaping, fencing and related items

                                           will continue.

c.       3-Week Look Ahead

Punch out should complete by August 5^th.

The exterior work will complete sometime in August.  Every effort is being made to complete the contract before the ribbon cutting.

d.      Comments

Austin building portion of the contract completed approximately one week late because of one subcontractor.  The exterior work is approximately five weeks behind schedule because of the weather.

D.      Bonner Elementary School-New School

a.       Work Completed

       General construction is complete on the building. 

 Punch out is approximately 90% complete.

b.   Work in Progress

Punch out of the building continues.  The exterior work, including

                                           paving, courtyard, irrigation, landscaping, fencing and related items

                                           will continue.

c.  3-Week Look Ahead

Punch out should complete by July 31st.

The exterior work will complete sometime in August.  Every effort is being made to complete the contract before the ribbon cutting.

d.  Comments

Bonner building portion of the contract completed on time.  The    exterior work is approximately five weeks behind schedule because of   the weather.

E.                  Peete Elementary School-New School

   a.   Work Completed

Structural steel erection is 95% complete. Drywall framing is 85% complete.  Brick work is approximately 60% complete.

b.   Work In Progress

       Drywall framing, exterior sheathing and sheetrock will continue.

       Rough-in of electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler system and ductwork

       will continue.  Technology cable tray and HVAC controls wiring    continues.  Exterior elements such as brickwork, built-up roofing, metal roofing and plaster framing are underway.  Window installation continues.

           c.    3-Week Look Ahead

The items listed above will continue as well as concrete sidewalks and    paving.

e.       Comments

Peete building is approximately one week behind schedule and the site work is approximately three weeks behind schedule. With clear weather, the site work will be back on schedule in approximately 30 days.

                         The seven schools, as a whole, are under budget for the 2004 Bond Program.

                    END
