PEIMS

Public Education Information Management System

PEIMS encompasses all data requested by TEA about public education, including student demographics, personnel, financial, and organizational information. PEIMS is an electronic collection method mandated by the state for collection of data from public schools in Texas.   School districts submit their data via standardized computer files, as defined by the PEIMS Data Standards.

Data is used for evaluating, monitoring, or auditing public education.  Other uses include state assessment, federal funding, and Foundation School Program funding.
