ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

Elementary Education in Tyler ISD serves approximately 9,000 children in early education (pre-kindergarten) through fifth grade on 17 comprehensive school campuses, one special education campus, and an outdoor learning facility.

Whether you are relocating here or already live in Tyler ISD, we understand that the quality of education in our community is important to you. Each of the 17 elementary schools in Tyler ISD provides quality programming for the school’s surrounding neighborhood.

Six of the schools provide magnet/focus programs to appeal to a family’s or student’s special interests.

Our Vision

To implement an elementary program within an environment of mutual respect and high expectations which will enable students in TISD to demonstrate effective:

  • communication skills,

  • computation/critical problem solving skills,

  • responsibility and self discipline,

  • awareness and respect for cultural differences,

  • health habits, and

  • recognize the worth of a variety of aesthetic experiences.

So that children will be engaged learners who perform successfully at the next academic level and are responsible members of society.

Attendance in a magnet program is subject to space availability and/or criteria requirements. Please contact the school of choice directly for transfer/enrollment information.

After-school programs are offered either through the YMCA’s Primetime Program or the Boys and Girls Club’s Extended School Program on the following campuses:

Summer Enrichment Programs

Summer enrichment programs are offered at some campuses.  Please contact the school office each year in late spring for summer program information.
