BILINGUAL

In the Tyler Independent School District’s Parent and Student Handbook, you are provided with information regarding the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. FERPA allows schools to disclose a student’s education record to school officials with a legitimate educational interest. A parent representative of the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) is considered a school official while serving on the committee. For more information regarding FERPA, click here to access the 2009-2010 Parent and Student Handbook.
