Come volunteer at Bell Elementary School
Bell is looking for community volunteers to work one-on-one with students
throughout the school year. Volunteers are needed to read with children or
just listen to children read aloud. As part of TISD policy, all volunteers
will be asked to complete a background check before working with children.
For more information about this program contact
bellptapresident@gmail.com or call 903.262.1820.

Most Texas state colleges and universities use
the Apply Texas application for admission. Because they are all different
and unique institutions of higher learning, some require students to write
an essay on one or more topics as part of their application process and some
do not. Parents and students can go to
www.applytexas.org and click “Research Your Options”. There you will
find a wealth of information as to what each particular college requires for
the application process. What you will also find as you research different
colleges and universities is that they rarely do things the same way! We
tell students to check with each college or university they are interested
in and make a list of application requirements, scholarship requirements,
admissions deadlines, scholarship deadlines, etc. And remember that what is
required for this year’s applicants could change for next year’s applicants.
The United States Army
provides free online access for students as they prepare for high school
courses, state testing, ACT and SAT testing, and planning for college.
Parents and students can

register to have access to the various tools.
