602B- ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST


REPORTS TO:  Campus Principal 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.      Master’s degree preferred
2.      Strong organizational skills
3.      Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize data
4.      Ability to interpret law, policy and procedures
5.      Strong written and verbal communications/presentation skills
6.      Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of state assessment requirements.

SUPERVISES:  N/A

JOB GOAL:
Coordinate testing materials and ensure accurate campus reporting for all local and state assessments.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Administrative/Professional Pay Grade 2, 214 days Wage/Hour Status: Exempt


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1.  

Coordinate the planning and administration of the statewide assessment programs including training of campus test administrators, ordering materials, and preparing pre-coded files, test booklets, answer documents, and any other related materials

  1.  

Coordinate the return of all testing materials according to state and district guidelines.

  1.  

Provide assistance in interpretation and reporting of state and local assessments.

  1.  

Provide support to campus test administrators for all testing programs.

  1.  

Provide training to all campus personnel for all testing programs.

  1.  

Attend district training for all state assessments.

  1.  

Serve as a campus resource for all assessment expectations and procedures.

  1.  

Coordinate the administration of the campus assessment program.

  1.  

Coordinate campus norm reference testing.

  1.  

Serve as a campus liaison to the District Assessment Coordinator.

  1.  

Coordinate and administer summer testing with counselor

  1.  

Coordinate campus distribution and check-in of testing material

  1.  

Collaborate with Advance Placement Coordinator testing procedures and guidelines.

  1.  

Collaborate with College and Career Center and Counselors the dissemination of  information regarding ACT, PSAT, THEA and other postsecondary assessments

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Maintains emotional control under stress.  Occasional district travel.  Some prolonged and irregular hours.

Computer, copier, fax, and related office equipment  Working Conditions: 

Mental Demands: 
Reading, ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress. 
Physical Demands: 
Moderate standing, stooping, bending and lifting; ability to control sudden violent or extreme physical acts of others and exhibit rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously.  Prolonged and irregular hours; frequent district-wide travel.
