772 - BENEFITS SUPPORTS FACILITATOR


QUALIFICATIONS:        

  1. High School Diploma or GED

  2. Fifteen hours college credit with some business orientation; or equivalent business school background; or three years of general clerical/secretarial experience

  3. Keyboarding and computer proficiency

  4. Computational, organizational, and communication skills

  5. Ability to work with constant interruptions and with various district employees.

REPORTS TO:                     COORDINATOR, PAYROLL

JOB GOALS:                 

  1. To  maintain the district insurance records

  2. To  process worker’s compensation claims


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Noncontractual (At-will); Paygrade   4 Estimated 226 days;   estimated 8 hours  daily


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
 

  1.  

Receive telephone calls, respond to telephone inquiries.

  1.  

Type and mail office correspondence

  1.  

Explain the insurance benefits to employees.

  1.  

Process enrollment of employees in insurance plans.

  1.  

Process deletion of employees in insurance plans.

  1.  

Complete insurance portion of district transmittals.

  1.  

Assist in balancing monthly insurance statements.

  1.  

Process direct deposit applications.

  1.  

Respond to institutions regarding verification of employment and salary.
  1.  

Process disability and TRS claim forms.

  1.  

Complies with directions and instructions from supervisor and performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as related to the position and may be assigned.

  1.  

Conduct of district business and demonstrates team work in daily activities.

  1.  

Is prompt and timely in completing daily tasks.

  1.  

Meets attendance standards and complies with notification procedures for absences.

  1.  

Provides complete and accurate information in the conduct of district business.

  1.  

Maintains confidentiality regarding any matter impacting personnel in the conduct of district business.

  1.  

Complies with district policies, as well as sate and federal laws and regulations.

  1.  

Adheres to the district’s safety policies and procedures.

  1.  

Participates in staff development training programs to improve job performance.

  1.  

Participates in meetings and special events as assigned.

 

EQUIPMENT USED: 

Uses computer, printer, copier, calculator, and telephone. 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Mental Demands: Reading, ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:  Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer terminal; works with constant interruptions.
