766A PEIMS Data Clerk
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Fifteen hours college credit with some business orientation; or equivalent business school background; or three
years of general clerical/secretarial experience
- Keyboarding and computer proficiency
- PEIMS data familiarity
- Computational, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work with constant interruptions and with various district employees.

JOB GOALS:
Collect, coordinate and integrate the
collection of PEIMS data
Follow-up on all campus PEIMS submissions
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Noncontractual (At-will); Paygrade 4; 205 days; estimated 8 hours
daily
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Coordinate the collection, integration and entry of all data required for PEIMS submissions to TEA.

Work cooperatively with administrative and functional staffs to collect, organize and format data required to submit campus
PEIMS data in a timely manner.

Process withdrawals on all students (teacher signatures, grades, and return of books).

Record grades and pull report cards at time of withdrawal.

Record entry and withdrawal date on CUM for all students that withdraw.

Run queries, reports, and verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of information.

Distribute reports to and run queries for appropriate campus staff for analysis, verifications, and correction.

Assist the Registrar with enrollment during high volume periods.

Enter leaver information and files documentation in binder; keeps on file for five years

Verify PEIMS data with campus special area staff.

Attend all PEIMS training classes and workshops; disseminate information to other staff as necessary.

Compile, maintain and file all physical and computerized reports, records and other documents as required.

Notify teachers on incomplete grades on withdrawn students to be sent to new school

Inactivates students with 20 or more consecutive absences upon notification (and provision of documentation) from Attendance
Clerk.

Research and submit documentation to Office of Accountability and PID errors.

Research problems and discrepancies with teacher and staff SSNs and submit documentation to Office of Accountability.

In the areas of enrollment, leaver codes, master scheduling and teacher assignments, assist principal in overseeing the
campus PEIMS process and acts as a PEIMS liaison between the principal and campus staff.

Check computer for absences and other pertinent information to write on withdrawal form.

Maintains student dropout I.D. report for student services.

Maintains positive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and others in the conduct of district business;
demonstrates teamwork in daily activities.

Complies with directions and instructions from supervisor and performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as
related to the position and may be assigned.

Is prompt and timely in completing daily tasks.

Meets attendance standards and complies with notification procedures for absences.

Provides complete and accurate information in the conduct of district business.

Maintains confidentiality regarding any matter impacting personnel in the conduct of district business.

Complies with district policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

Adheres to the district's safety policies and procedures.

Participates in staff development training programs to improve job performance.

Participates in meetings and special events as assigned.

Uses computer, typewriter, printer, copier, calculator, and telephone.
