QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED           

  2. Demonstrates interest in and aptitude for work to be performed

  3. Keyboarding and computer proficiency         

  4. Have clerical/secretarial experience or background

  5. Have experience related to working with students or parents

REPORTS TO: Campus Operations Manager

JOB GOALS:

  1. To assign qualified substitutes to area best suited for qualifications.

  2. To maintain up-to-date and accurate records for absence from duty and absence reports.

  3. To maintain all requests for transcripts; to assist registrar


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Noncontractual (At-will); Clerical/Technical Paygrade 1 Estimated 188 days;   estimated  8 hours daily Wage/Hour Status:  Non-exempt      


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

 

  1. Opens the school at 6:30 am; checks and sets the alarm.

  2. Assists in maintaining employee and substitute records on the district’s database system.

  3. Maintain an accurate filing system.

  4. Pull files, duplicate transcripts, mail.

  5. Assist registrar with withdraw and enrollment of new students as assigned by the Campus Operations Manager.

  6. Assists in printing teacher rolls and schedules from TEAMS and provides to substitute.

  7. Provides assistance to the Campus Management Assistant as directed.

  8. Prepare labels for mass mailings (newsletter, test results, report cards) as assigned.

  9. Assists with coordination of substitute information each day and provides to subs as they check in.

  10. Complies with directions and instructions from supervisor and performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as may be assigned.

  11. Maintains positive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and others in the conduct of district business; demonstrates teamwork in daily activities.

  12. Is prompt, timely, and thorough in completing assignments and attending to details accurately and efficiently.

  13. Meets attendance standards and complies with notification procedures for absences.

  14. Provides complete and accurate information in the conduct of district business.

  15. Maintains confidentiality in the conduct of district business.

  16. Complies with district policies as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

  17. Provides clerical assistance to the school office as needed.

  18. Participates in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned.

  19. Adheres to the district’s safety procedures and policies.

  20. Personal computer, typewriter, copier, paper cutter, hole puncher, and automated substitute system.
     

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mental Demands:   

Reading; ability to perform basic arithmetic; ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under  stress.  

Physical Demands/ Environmental Factors:

Moderate lifting, carrying, standing, stooping, and bending.  Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.  Works with frequent interruptions.
