723 Hospitality Food Production Assistant


QUALIFICATIONS:        

  1. Be a high school graduate or hold a GED certificate;

  2. Have experience related to working with students or parents;

  3. Desire and ability to work with and effectively communicate with staff, students, and parents.

REPORTS TO:                     Building Principal

JOB GOALS:                 

  1. To assist the teacher with the food production

  2. To assist the administrative and faculty with hospitality events


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Noncontractual (At-will); Clerical/Technical Paygrade 1Estimated 185  days;   estimated 8 hrs daily Wage/hour status:  nonexempt


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
 

  1.  

Assist teachers in routine operations.

  1.  

Assist students at job stations.

  1.  

Assist in control of student behavior.

  1.  

Assist in reading of recipes.

  1.  

Monitor preparation of recipes.

  1.  

Operate or assist students operating dangerous equipment.

  1.  

Decorate cakes.

  1.  

Fill orders for carry-out foods.

  1.  

Assist Thursday luncheons.

  1.  

Assist in clean-up operations.

  1.  

Wash laundry and dishes.

  1.  

Assist with field trips.

  1.  

Assist with grading papers.

  1.  

Complies with directions and instructions from supervisor and performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as may be assigned.

  1.  

Maintains positive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and others in the conduct of district business and demonstrates team work in daily activities.

  1.  

Is prompt, timely, and thorough in completing assignments and attending to details accurately and efficiently.

  1.  

Meets attendance standards and complies with notification procedures for absences.

Provides complete and accurate information in the conduct of district business.

Maintains confidentiality in the conduct of district business.
