897 Maintenance Foreman
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED
Five (5) years successful experience in equipment and facility maintenance
Must maintain current Texas Driver License; maintain appropriate
driving record for insurance purposes
Be able to read and work from scaled drawings
Demonstrates ability to work and get along with people
Good communication skills
Willingness to work occasional overtime

To help supply and keep in good repair the physical teaching aids of the district.
To endeavor to have an efficient and smooth running department
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Noncontractual (At-will); Manual/Trades Paygrade: 7; Estimated 232 days; estimated 8 hours daily Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt

EQUIPMENT USED: Ability to use all manual and powered tools associated with equipment and facility maintenance. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands: Reading; ability to understand basic arithmetic; ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Must possess good physical dexterity and have the ability to perform manual tasks and body movement including climbing, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, walking, standing, and carrying. Ability to lift 50 pounds weight. Works outside and inside; exposure to hot and cold temperatures; exposure to dust, toxic chemicals and materials; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; work on ladders. Physical ability to wear respirator.
