849A - TEAM LEADER COMPUTER ROUTING SPECIALIST AREA IV


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must have a High School diploma or GED

  2. Ability to follow verbal instructions

  3. Demonstrates aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities.

  4. Desire and ability to work with and communicate with students, parents, and other bus drivers.

  5. Current Commercial Driver’s license and bus driver certification.

  6. Negative mandatory OTETA test.

  7. Proven knowledge of functioning components in student computer routing system.

REPORTS TO:        DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION

JOB GOALS:

  1. Maintains knowledge of assigned routes, drivers, and riders.

  2. Provide safe, efficient transportation for assigned riders.

  3. Assist director and supervisors in accomplishing department goals


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Non-contractual (At-Will);Manual/Trades Pay-grade 5, Estimated 226 days; estimated 8 hours daily


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1.  

Maintains computer routing system daily.

  1.  

Maintains all student records daily.

  1.  

Maintain all route changes and adjustments daily.

  1.  

Maintains all “First Wednesday” count sheets and distributes to drivers.

  1.  

Keeps director informed of route changes & adjustments.

  1.  

Works with Student Management Coordinator to accomplish goals.

  1.  

Works with technology department to implement and interface bus route

  1.  

assignments from computer routing system into AS-400.

  1.  

Develop and maintain department web page.

  1.  

Maintains familiarity with the geographical and all route assignments.

  1.  

Works office/assignments assigned by the director.

  1.  

Accepts responsibility for ensuring that all reports, rider records, etc., are

  1.  

turned in and properly filed.

  1.  

Observes time schedules set fourth on the trip ticket.

  1.  

Maintains accurate trip log data and turns it in promptly.

  1.  

Drives safely and observes all traffic laws and driving regulations.

  1.  

Is friendly and helpful toward trip sponsors and riders.

  1.  

Complies and assist in readying reports for TEA mileage funding.

  1.  

Complies and assists in readying reports as requested from other school personnel to accomplish goals.

  1.  

Assist Routing/Scheduling supervisor will all summer programs. 

  1.  

Establish, maintain 2-mile limit, and update maps with new streets and sub-division.

  1.  

Complies with directions and instructions from Supervisor and performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as may be assigned.

  1.  

Maintains positive and cooperative working relationship with colleagues and others in the conduct of district business and demonstrates team work in daily activities.

  1.  

Is prompt, timely, and through in completing assignments and attending to details accurately and efficiently.

  1.  

Meets attendance standards and complies with notification procedures for absences.

  1.  

Provides completed and accurate information in the conduct of district business.

  1.  

Maintains confidentiality in the conduct of district business.

  1.  

Complies with district policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

 

EQUIPMENT USED:

Two- Way Radio, Computer and various office equipment. Operate school bus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mental Demands:      Reading; ability to understand verbal instruction; maintain emotional control under stress; ability to maintain effective control over groups of students. 

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Must  possess good physical dexterity and have the ability to perform manual tasks and body.  Works outside; exposure to hot and cold temperatures; exposed to dust, toxic chemicals and vehicle fumes; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; continual sitting, reaching and repetitive hand and arm motions; ability to operate motor vehicle.
