Media Advisory Moore MST Magnet School to Host 911 Memorial Moore MST Magnet School will host a 911 Memorial to honor victims, families and support services of September 11, 2001.
The program will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2006, at the Moore MST Magnet School Football Field on Golden Road. Members of local fire, police, armed forces, and emergency response teams will be represented and recognized.
“This week marks the fifth anniversary of the September 11th attack, “ said Moore Principal Claude Lane. “In memory of the families impacted by this great tragedy, the Moore Campus would like to honor those who lost their lives and thank our local emergency personnel who are first to respond to us here in East Texas in the event of a crisis.”
Approximately 900 balloons will be released at the same time by the entire student body to remember those who lost their lives. Each homeroom class will release a balloon attached with a message of hope. The message goes out to encourage those who have been affected by this great tragedy.
In the event of rain, the program will be rescheduled for the same afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
