Video Tape Release Resolved

            Judge Dunn has ruled on the release of the Bell Elementary skit videotapes.  Judge Dunn has ruled that due to copyright issues, the videotapes of the skit must be returned to Wendie Short and Christina Jontra. 

The Judge’s order prevents the playing or distributing of the videotapes.  Tyler ISD has returned all copies of the video tapes to the attorneys representing Wendie Short and Christina Jontra.  As a result of this ruling, the former employees have dismissed their pending lawsuit against TISD.

 “To the best of my knowledge there is no other hearings pending and no other action to be taken and the matter is resolved,” said TISD Superintendent David Simmons.  “We look to put this entire situation behind us and focus on the positive energy and efforts of preparing for a new school year, “ said Simmons.
