TISD Students Become Farmers for a Day

Students at Dr. Bryan C. Jack Elementary School are learning about plants from the farm to the market.  On Friday, May 2, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. kindergarten students will participate in activities such as seed planting and gardening, pulling onions, a farm tour, and hay ride at Camp Tyler located at 15143 Camp Tyler Road in Whitehouse, Texas. 

The students will take the onions they pulled to a local grocery store to sell.  Students will use their earnings to buy snacks for their class to enjoy.
