TISD Hires Hubbard Principal

 

            Tyler Independent School District Board of Trustees has approved and named Annisa Myers Kiener, a Texas educator with 13 years of experience, as the new principal of Hubbard Middle School.  Kiener is currently Director of Instruction in the Cy-Fair Independent School District in Houston, Texas.

 

            “I am excited about Mrs. Kiener’s strong secondary math experience,” said Karen Raney, Director of Secondary Education.  “Her variety of experiences brings new ideas and strategies to a campus that strongly desires to be exemplary.”

 

Kiener began her career in public education in Richmond, Texas, in 1994 as a math teacher, and then continued her teaching career in Plano ISD, and Chapel Hill ISD. She then advanced to Spring Branch ISD in 2001 where she served as math teacher, school improvement specialist, and assistant principal.

 

Kiener holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin University.  She received her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University. 

 

The TISD Board of Trustees approved Kiener’s hiring at its April 17 regular board meeting.  She officially begins her duties July 1, 2008.
