TAKS Support for Students

In an effort to help students prepare for the TAKS tests, Tyler ISD is linking state resources to the Tyler ISD website.  TAKS Interactive Study Guides, available on the Texas Assessment website, are now available to parents at www.tylerisd.org under the Parents/Students menu.  Parents can find information related to the Texas Assessment program, the Confidential Student Report, and how their child’s learning is assessed.  These guides are available in English and Spanish languages.

“This is a resource to help our students prepare for the TAKS tests,” said Kim Tunnell, Tyler ISD Director of Curriculum and Instruction.  “Because not all guides have been posted at this time, be sure to revisit the website as others become available.”

The study guides are in development and being posted online at www.texasassessment.com/studyguidesThe Texas Education Agency has developed TAKS study guides to help students strengthen the TEKS-based knowledge and skills that are taught in class and tested on TAKS. The guides are designed for students to use on their own or for students and families to work through together. Concepts are presented in a variety of ways that will help students review the information and skills they need to be successful on the TAKS.
