TISD Assists Tyler PD in False Campus Threat

            Tyler ISD was notified this morning by the Tyler Police Department of a possible threat to the campus of Robert E. Lee High School.  As a result of the threat, at approximately 9:15 a.m. the administration decided to detain students in their first period class. 

Tyler ISD Police were also placed on alert and assisted in the situation.  Once the threat was determined no more of a threat and the students were safe, the students were allowed to proceed to their next class.

At approximately 10:15 a.m. students resumed a normal schedule.

Tyler ISD is working with the Tyler Police Department in this situation.
