Bergfeld Ends Service on Board of Trustees

            I have decided not to run for re-election for District 1 of the Tyler Independent School District Board of Trustees.  My last seven years on the Board have been some of the most rewarding of my life but, in everything, there is a time for change in leadership, and that time is now for TISD, my family, and me.  The last seven years have not all been easy, but I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve this great City.  I am proud to have been a part of the reformation of this District, and am extremely confident in starting my three sons in TISD.  There are six very capable members of the Board remaining who will continue to serve and I am genuinely thankful to have served with them, past Board Members, and all of the District employees.  I wish them well.
