September 1, 2008

Angela Jenkins

Director of Communications
Tyler ISD

Tyler ISD is prepared for the effects of Hurricane Gustav.  Teams are in place to handle weather situations at our campuses as well as enrolling student evacuees into the District.

Tuesday, September 2 is a normal school day and classes will begin at our regularly scheduled times.  Tyler ISD will monitor the weather situation closely for any changes to the start of the school day.  Please tune in to your local television and radio stations, as well as the Tyler ISD website, for up-to-date information concerning school closings due to inclement weather.

Evacuee student registration will be handled at the Student Services Department at the Plyler Instruction Complex located at 807 W. Glenwood, Tyler.
