A Summary of the December 1, 2006 Tyler ISD Board of Trustees Meeting

Board Accepts Superintendent’s Resignation
The Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of Dr. David Simmons, Tyler ISD superintendent. The resignation will be effective December 31, 2006. Simmons will begin his new superintendent position with Richardson ISD on January 2, 2007.

Board Appoints Interim Superintendent
The Board of Trustees appointed Gary Mooring as interim superintendent of Tyler ISD. Mooring is currently the deputy superintendent of the school system. His new role will become effective January 1, 2007.
